Edinburgh Napier University
Edinburgh Napier University is a modern university located in the city of Edinburgh. The university takes its name from 16th century Scottish Mathematician and philosopher John Napier. The University was originally part of Napier Technical College, but in 1992 the college was granted university status and became Napier University. It was not until 2009 that the University was renamed as Edinburgh Napier University. Across its three main campuses, it has over 19,500 students.

The Students’ Union provides a variety of services for students including advice and support, sports, societies, volunteering opportunities and representation. The Union is located on the Merchinson Campus on Colinton road.
